The SFA Observatory can now provide Weather Data Online. Our weather station allows us to to retrieve, store, and display weather information. This modular weather station measures and records wind speed, wind direction, temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, and rainfall. The WeatherPort Modular Weather Station outputs data over its RS-232 interface to work directly with computer software.

The weather station includes a wind speed/direction sensor, relative humidity/temperature sensor with radiation shield, barometric pressure sensor, self-emptying rain gauge, 5-ft. tripod and 5-ft. mast, and data acquisition module. It is mounted on the main building at the SFA observatory.
