"Career Services will be hosting the Spring Career Day on March 1st in the UC Grand Ballroom from 1:00-4:00 p.m. There are over 80 companies registered to attend—at least 20 of these companies are first time visitors/recruiters to SFA. These representatives are looking for candidates from ALL majors." "We are excited about the wide-ranging group of recruiters that will be visiting with our students about internships and full-time employment. Please feel free to stop in and visit with these company representatives as well; your support goes a long way in helping our students succeed in their future careers!" -- Sheri Mullican, MA, LPC, Associate Director of Career Services, Stephen f. Engineering Scholarships at Tarleton State "We will probably award seven $4000 (for this year) engineering transfer scholarships for our engineering physics program assuming we have sufficiently qualified applicants. This would basically cover housing and food. The student could then do a summer internship with one of our industrial partners if they wanted additional support beyond financial aide. Students who still have core requirements and less than 45 hours may be eligible for Presidential Honors which is $6K a year plus travel to a national conference." http://www.tarleton.edu/~engineering/

"Here's a link to some funny pictures of what can happen when ferous metal objects like chairs get caught in the extreme magnetic field of an MRI scanner.
Apparently in most of these cases, the folks who had equipment ripped from their hands didn't realize that the magnetic field is on even when the machine is not actively in use..."
