You might be wondering, "What kinds of jobs could I get with a degree in engineering or physics?"
Maybe the best way to answer that is to look at some of the jobs that our graduates have. I have

just from our department. You may also want to check out a few links below and begin putting your resume together

had some good stuff for physicists. Use keywords for the search.
- American Physical Society - Careers in Physics
- The American Physics Society maintains a small collection of job announcements but
includes links to other employment resources.
- Physics Trends
or by State
- These flyers offer snapshots of the latest trends in physics. They are intended to communicate basic information to students and can be posted in public areas, e.g. on
bulletin boards.
- PhysicsJobs
- The web version of job announcements that appear in Physics World magazine.
The emphasis is on European positions.
- Physlink: Jobs
- Billing themselves as an online education and reference resource, Physlink is a
fun site to visit! Their jobs board provides
links to numerous career resources for physicists and engineers.
- TIPTOP: The Internet Pilot to Physics
- The TIPTOP site is probably the premiere web site for Physics-related positions. Very extensive, highly recommended.
- USAJobs - This is the Federal Government's
web site for open positions. Follow the "professional" and "entry level professional"
links. Many jobs are posted here, and it is updated everyday.
- SciTechJobs - Technical jobs, mostly for post-docs,
but sometimes there's a good job in there.
- Science Application International Corporation - This is a placement service,
but you can apply for jobs directly.
