- Be sure you know what each variable represents and know what units
are used for each variable.
- Review the following concepts:
- Kirchhoff’s Current Law (Figure 1.21)
- Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law (Figure 1.24)
- Review Homework 1 and these example problems that can be found throughout the chapter:
Example 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.5
Chapter 2 - Resistive Circuits
- Review the following concepts:
- Resistors in Series (Equation 2.7 and Figure 2.1)
- Resistors in Parallel (Equation 2.15 and Figure 2.2)
- Review Homework 2 and these example problems that can be found throughout the chapter:
Example 2.1, 2.2, 2.3.
Chapter 3 - Capacitors and Inductors
- Capacitors:

How to Study
- Review the homework questions and class notes.
- Sketch the circuit symbols for each component discussed. (Resistors, Capacitors, Inductors, Voltage Supplies, etc.)
- Review some of the example problems listed above.
- Study each figure in the chapter mentioned above and read their captions.
